It’s still difficult to be here. My home doesn’t feel like home. We have experienced many issues here. It’s just one thing after another. Ticks, scorpions, venomous snakes, not-so-sure snakes, armadillos, poisonous plants, and bee stings. We wonder what is next every time. Skunks is what I am told.
I just miss my friends. Here are a few:
I have so many friends I miss from Colorado and people I loved that I didn’t know that well. One “friend” has come in the form of my priests mother but she actually lives not too far from me and I have been helping her with her book project. I have felt completely inadequate to help such a holy woman produce the book she wants all of you to read but God has assured her I am supposed to be in her life for this portion.
Her needs and texts have saved my mental health. I am no book publishing expert. In fact, I have self-published primarily because I haven’t been picked up by a publisher but I do know how to write and encourage people to write. She is truly a treasure and I am thankful that the Lord has placed her in my life. She had a long conversation with me not too long ago about my sadness which helped me understand so much of what God is doing for me and with me. I began thanking God for this pain and suffering a few weeks ago and as odd as it sounds, things have been better. I have been able to attend to my daily duties more often than not.
If you want to know who she is, check out her website here: tricianolanauthor.com. She will be featured on the John-Henry Westen Show this week (October 2, 2024) and her book God is Nearer Than You Think, will be published in about 6-8 months. I can tell you that the stories inside this book are nothing like you have ever heard before and are so inspiring. You will learn to find God in your daily life through reading her stories. I have no doubt she will help you just as she has helped me.
