This is a 3 hour workshop designed to help doulas and other birth workers better understand pregnancy loss. Participants will learn the types of loss and how to maintain a working relationship with families enduring unexpected loss. We will explore in an interactive yet informal workshop how birth professionals can provide support during a pregnancy that ends in miscarriage or stillbirth, how to provide support during the physical event of the loss, how to support after a loss, and how the birth professional should care for themselves after supporting families through loss.
Participants are given an assignment prior to attending the workshop that will help them build a network of understanding surrounding the options available to families enduring miscarriage and stillbirth. This workshop provides three (3) ICEA continuing education contact hours and is an excellent way to expand skills and knowledge.
Pregnancy Loss Workshops are held throughout the Denver Metro area or as requested. To request a workshop in your area, contact Elizabeth!
